Information on the DivaMania Tour with Tiffany, Jillian & Maria

Former WWE Diva Taryn “Tiffany” Terrell revealed more information to The Miami Herald this weekend about the upcoming DivaMania tour with her, Jillian Hall and Maria Kanellis.

The tour is being put together by Terrell and Andrew Scott, president of Scott Celebrity Management. The three former Divas will be making stops across the world meeting fans.

Tiffany said:

“It has really come together. We have really great names associated with it. We all have such a following. It’s really going to be cool to be able to get out there to talk to our fans and meet our fans, as well as tour the country and the world. We don’t have to worry about the PG level of WWE anymore, which is what we were under the constraints of.

So now we get to let loose and be who we are. Andrew Scott has been amazing to put this whole thing together. I think there is going to be a lot of interest in it. I’m ready to party down with everybody around the world.”

Jim Ross Blog: Brock Lesnar Hosting RAW, Maria's Music CD

Jim Ross has updated his blog and commented Brock Lesnar possibly returning to WWE as well as former WWE Diva Maria's new music CD. Visit JRsBarBQ.com to read the blog in its entirety and to check out JR's great line of BBQ products. Here's what JR said about:

Brock Lesnar Hosting RAW: "Intriguing statement made by Brock Lesnar regarding WWE earlier this week. I don't think that anyone should expect Lesnar to competitively step back in a WWE ring while he is still competing in UFC and if did it would surprise me. I can see Lesnar easily pulling off a Guest Host shot on Raw around the time that Brock's book comes out which I assume is later in 2010. After Brock calls it a career in UFC, which I also don't see for a while, it's within the realm of possibility that he could do a 'one off' bout in WWE likely at a Wrestlemania. This is not likely, in my opinion, for a few years so let's not start the dialog about Atlanta and who Lesnar 'might' wrestle in the Georgia Dome. That's just not going to happen in my eyes."

Maria's New Music CD: "A friend told me recently that former WWE Diva Maria's new CD was excellent and that Maria was so dedicated to her music career that she financed the project herself. I admire that dedication and encourage all fans to check out Maria's work which, I think, is available on ITunes. Maria is a wonderful spirit and I really enjoy her work on 'Celebrity Apprentice.' Any one who can spend time with Donald Trump comes out the better for it. I have always found Donald to be a helluva guy with amazing perception and vision and it's obvious that he's a brilliant man. One terrific marketer and promoter."

Maria's Life After WWE

WWE Diva Maria tells the U.K. Sun that he’s already looking to pursue other opportunities beyond WWE so she can settle down and start a family. “I’m starting to do other things and it’s partially because one day I want to be a mom and I want to get married and you can’t really do that when you’re on the road,” Maria told Sky Sports News on a U.K. promotional tour this week. “So I’ve got to find a job that will allow me to do that.”

Maria, who will appear with former WWE & WCW champion Bill Goldberg on the upcoming “Celebrity Apprentice” show hosted by Donald Trump, is following in the footsteps of Mickie James and is also releasing an album this spring. “I’ve been with WWE for five years, so I don’t know when is going to be the end,” she said. “But I am looking at outside projects right now and doing other things..”

MTV Mocks Batista at the Slammys

At Monday's WWE Slammy Awards, Batista interrupted Maria's acceptance speech for Diva of the Year in what appeared to be a parody of the infamous Kanye West - Taylor Swift incident at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. "That's great, congratulations, I'm really happy for you," Batista said. "No disrespect, but let's talk about the greatest award ever: The Screwjob of the Year award, which goes to me! I got robbed last night. I should be World Heavyweight Champion, and I should be up for the Superstar of the Year award." MTV writer Kyle Anderson implied the joke is dated and has been done to death already on countless award shows since the VMAs.

JR Talks Maria, C.M. Punk, More

Jim Ross is back with another blog this weekend on jrsbarbq.com. Here are the highlights:

- Favorite Boston wrestling memory…Austin vs. HBK with Mike Tyson involved. Plus working one event at the old Boston Garden and making that trip with the late Gorilla Monsoon. When thinking of Monsoon, I have wonderful memories of a great man. The wrestling business in general needs more people with Gorilla’s character, respect and integrity.

- I don’t know why I should have vilified Maria on Friday Night Smackdown as some have suggested via their emails. What has she done wrong? Date an arrogant wrestler? Wow, she would be the first to ever do that, right?

- Another person wanted to know why I wasn’t harder on C.M. Punk via our commentary over the promo Punk did Friday night on Smackdown. Honestly, Punk’s remarks were filled with truths. Certainly one can make an argument that Punk’s delivery was a little pompous but that’s a subjective opinion too. I can assure you that Punk means what he says about abstinence from smoking, recreational drug use, and drinking alcohol. I sure as hell can’t argue his basic points.

Storyline for Maria and Ziggler Scrapped

A member of the WWE SmackDown creative team pitched an angle for the Dolph Ziggler and Maria storyline which would have had Ziggler blackmailing Maria with video footage. It would have been heavily implied that the footage was a sex tape, although they never would have come right out and said it.

The proposed angle called for Ziggler threatening that he would show it to her family and friends, but not any of the fans. The angle was rejected.

Maria Responds to Fans Hating her Wrestling Skills

From: WrestleScoop.com

SmackDown Diva Maria posted a blog on the WWE Universe site responding to people criticizing her for not being a great wrestler. “I am not a person to respond to anger and cruelty but lately I have had such a hard time even getting on this site,” Maria said addressing the criticism. “Mind you I do not claim to be the greatest wrestler or the quickest learner. I work hard, I get in the ring, (and) I try and still can’t win. … Wrestling is hard. I love it and that is what keeps me going. I love what I do.” Maria added more on the negative comments. “If you want to be negative that is okay. I just can’t read your comments cause negativity breeds negativity. I refuse to get down on myself. I could lose a million times and mess up a thousand things and as long as I love being out there I continue to march on.”

Maria Talks on Boyfriends, the Next Diva in Playboy

The UK Sun has posted a new interview with WWE Diva and Playboy covergirl Maria Kanellis on their website. Some highlights:

What She Looks For In a Boyfriend: “I may kick some butt out there, but at the end of the day I’m still a girl and I still wont to be treated like one. I need someone who is romantic even when I’m in my pyjamas and watching some terrible movie and eating burnt popcorn. If you can still have fun when you’re doing that, that’s when its really romantic. That’s what makes a real relationship. And, you know, if I’m treated like a woman then I’ll treat you like a man. That’s the basic structure of a relationship. If I can count on you, if I can trust you, if I can laugh with you and be myself then that’s everything that I look for.”

Getting Traded to SmackDown: “The WWE’s annual draft is always such a scary thing for me because I’ve been on Raw for almost four years. It was especially scary for me this year, because I had this feeling in my gut that I would move. But when I made it past that Monday night Raw when they were doing the draft on TV, I thought that I was in the clear. But then I got a phone call the next morning about the draft and I have to say that instantly I burst into tears. I was so close with the girls over on Raw, the guys on Raw that I was very scared and timid moving over to Smackdown and I’m still getting used to it.

The Next WWE Diva to do Playboy:
“I’ve heard rumours that it’s going to be Kelly Kelly this year and I’d like to see her or Mickie James do it. If I had the opportunity to do Playboy again, I definitely would – especially if it was together with one of those two. I think that it would be a great shoot and a great thing to go back to. Plus it’s always hot to see two women naked together!”

Wrestlers Share Thoughts on the Draft and Moves

From: PWPIX.net

WWE.com has posted an article on the emotions of some of the wrestlers following last week's Drafts. Regarding Maria, they wrote: "For Maria, the change was more bittersweet; the Playboy cover girl was sad to leave all of her close Raw friends behind. "[Women's Champion] Mickie James looked at me all day long today, and every time she looked like she was about to cry." Maria is keeping her head up though, and looking forward to becoming good friends with the Sexiest Women on Friday night Television." On the other hand, former ECW Diva Layla is optimistic about her move to Raw. "I know for a fact that there are bigger and better things coming and I'm going to work really hard to do a great job here and shine as much as I can," she said. On his move to SmackDown, Triple H said, "My initial reaction was shock. I've always considered myself to be a franchise player of [WWE's] flagship show, Monday Night Raw. The switch to SmackDown is definitely going to be a bit of an adjustment." The article also features comments from Kofi Kingston and Jeff Hardy.

Highlights from the Latest Jim Ross Blog

Source: JRsBarBQ.com

Jim Ross has posted a new batch of "Q&A" answers on his website. Some highlights:

On who JR sees "leading the charge" for WWE in the next five years: Orton, Edge, Burke, MVP, Kennedy, Hardy’s, Punk, to name a few guys I think are good now and should be really good in "5 years". The developmental area has some studs and they will be stars if they aren’t "picked too green".

The idea of WWE having a drug counselor on the road:
The company offers all sorts of counseling opportunities but it takes two to tango more often than not. Education in the developmental area is a key to reducing issues when talents get called up.

Squash matches on television:
I think that the occasional squash match is fine. I also think that there should be longer matches on TV so better stories could be told.

Mickie James being pushed less due to the focus on Maria: Mickie is still getting plenty of work and seems to be happy. Mickie has already lasted longer than some predicted because her "look" is not that of a stereotypical WWE Diva. I think Mickie is very attractive/sexy and she damn sure can wrestle.

The possibility of Chris Jericho getting a major title run: Yes, I think Jericho has the ability to be WWE or World’s Champion and will likely get there if he stays long enough in the WWE.

Signing autographs: I have no problem signing autographs except when I am in the middle of a meal or in the men’s room. I don’t like signing the same item several times like the same 8X10’s several times.

Maria Gets Personal: Being in Playboy, Feelings Backstage, More

On March 7 when the new issue of Playboy hits newsstands, Maria will not be wearing much in the way of clothing, but she will be most naked in a different aspect – her personality. The photo shoot first and foremost serves as a way to see into the Diva’s head; not just a glimpse of her body.

“When I came into WWE at 22, I came in scared,” she said. “Now I’m standing here with my butt completely naked and guess what? I’m feeling good.”

When our fans see the magazine, Maria wants them to see a strong side of her. The photos should communicate her motivation and dedication to produce the best result in this shoot and in all of her tasks.

“I’m very glamorous in this photo shoot,” Maria said. “I’m very high fashion and it definitely brings out that personality in me and makes me look strong. Our fans don’t necessarily get to see me done up to this extent; they don’t get to see me up close and personal.”

Playboy’s most recent cover girl grew up in Ottawa, Ill., a small town outside Chicago. She graduated middle school in a class of 15 students, and her high school class wasn’t much larger. In a town where everyone knew everyone else, the citizens experienced little, if any, widespread attention.

“To be on national television is crazy,” she admitted. “To be on the cover of any magazine is insanity, coming from my small town. But to be on the cover of Playboy – that’s a statement.”

Maria added she often has to remind herself that everything is real whenever she sees herself on TV.

“I’m doing a fashion shoot, I’m on the cover of Playboy, I’m working for the greatest company in the world and I’m still being me. I’m still me and that is just so … there are no words for that.”

The cover of the Playboy issue will be revealed on the next edition of Raw. High fashion serves as the theme of the photo shoot, featuring articles of clothing that Maria made herself.

“I would love to thank everyone for their support – from our fans and Mr. and Mrs. McMahon to everyone else involved in it. And definitely for my family, the greatest family in the world.” While blowing a kiss, Maria added, “And this, the Playboy cover, is for you.”

Official RAW Preview from WWE.com

After Sunday night’s Royal Rumble, everything has changed. With the shocking return of John Cena to the ring after four months on the injured list and his victory in the Royal Rumble Match, the world of reigning WWE Champion Randy Orton may have been turned upside down.

When Raw rolls into Philadelphia, you can be certain that Cena will have anything but brotherly love on his mind. Will the former WWE Champion be gunning to recapture his title?

And what does Orton, the man credited with putting Cena out, have to say about his return? With Cena back, how desperate will Orton be to keep his gold? He managed to defeat Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy at the Rumble, but he was pushed to the limit. Has the Legend Killer seen the last of Hardy?

In other Raw action, Chris Jericho and JBL will undoubtedly continue their deeply personal feud after their bloody match at the Rumble. Y2J appeared like a man possessed when he and JBL met in the ring on Sunday, glaring at his rival through rivulets of blood trickling down his face. How much more personal can the rivalry between these two get? Is there any step they’re not willing to take?

And what about Maria and the opportunity Ashley presented to her at Royal Rumble – the honor of possibly posing in Playboy? Maria’s beau, Santino Marella, doesn’t want anyone seeing her “boobies,” but how does the lovely Diva feel about the situation? Will she become the latest WWE Diva to grace the cover of Playboy?

Watch for These Up and Comers to Be Stars in 2008

It's officially the longest stretch of the year between PPV's, as we will end up going over a month by the time the 2008 Royal Rumble comes to us live from Madison Square Garden on January 27th. It's a time to reflect, get storylines for 2008 in motion, and start pushes for guys that hopefully will start to take it to the next level this year. There are plenty of guys on the list that look like they are in line for pushes this year, but in the end, they will be the ones to determine if they become stars or not. Here are a few guys that appear on the verge of getting pushed hard in 2008:

Jeff Hardy - This is the most obvious one since it's actually already happening with his main event title program right now with Randy Orton. We've thrown around Jeff's past enough to know that they are going to let him run with the ball, and if he can keep it rolling, I would not doubt a main event push all the way to a Mania main event in 2009.

Shannon Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang - This pair have put together some of the better matches recently on ECW, and it seems they are the next in line for tag belts. I can see them in the mold of the London and Kendrick team that dominated the SmackDown! scene for sometime before losing the belts and then being lost in the shuffle on RAW.

Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder - The company made a good move when they took away their "brother' status as the Major Brothers and made them sidekicks of Edge. Remember when Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin were paired up with Kurt Angle and eventually they won tag gold? Look for the same thing to eventually happen here.

The Miz - Long term I think the Miz is going to make a great manager, and they should start to think about him more in the role of what they have made Matt Striker, a manager/wrestler. His mic skills are solid, and once he and John Morrison drop the tag belts, they should find a guy or two that he can pair up with that he can do the talking for.

Shelton Benjamin - To a man, many on the WWE's rosters think that Benjamin has the most talent of anyone in the company. He's been thrown around in various dead end storylines that tend to go nowhere, then gets the shaft with losing to someone they want to push. Look for an ECW title program with C.M. Punk that if done right can be one of the better feuds of the year in the company.

Maira - This is a slam dunk in the women's department, as any diva in the company who takes their clothes off for Playboy automatically gets a push. That is happening here, as she will be this years flavor as she'll bare all for the magazine in an issue that will come out right before WrestleMania. With that, look for a Mania match of some sort, or at least a big presence at the show.
