Melina Responds to Beth's Shot at Her About the Splits

Beth Phoenix was apparently scripted to take a shot at recently released WWE Diva Melina during her promo tonight on Raw in which she said she was sick of the Divas division being made a mockery of. “No more booty popping, no more splits, no more stink faces,” Beth said following her victory over Eve.

Melina wrote on Twitter, “PS- Any Diva can try 2 do a split from here on out but what the WWE confirmed is that the SPLITS will always remind the world of me. Thank u.

She continued, “I love the statement peeps! I bet the powers that be were waiting all night 2 hear that line go on air. Hee hee. I find it very flattering!”

WWE Diva Upset With Taking A Backseat To Trish Stratus

It was reported yesterday that there is backstage heat on John Morrison and Melina as a result of their behind the scenes treatment of Trish Stratus. It was claimed that either he or Melina, his girlfriend, felt Stratus took her spot at Wrestlemania XXVII.

Morrison rejected various ideas Stratus had for the match and was said to be very difficult to work with.

During the live performance, Morrison appeared visibly cold to Status, not making eye contact with her and dodging her following its conclusion. Morrison's treatment of Stratus reportedly hurt her feelings. Word quickly spread amongst the locker room, garnering heat for both himself and Melina among some circles.

Regarding the validity of the story, former WWE talent Sean Waltman (a/k/a X-Pac), who was on hand for the WrestleMania festivities in Atlanta, wrote yesterday on Twitter that a participant of the Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match did not behave in a professional manner. He wrote to Stratus, "It was wonderful seeing you this weekend. You are a true professional, unlike someone else in your match and I don't mean Snookie."

He then added that he was very surprised and disappointed by the person's unprofessionalism.

According to a friend of Melina's, the Raw Diva is legitimately upset with Stratus. Melina has privately said that her source of contention with Stratus is not because she herself was snubbed from WrestleMania due to her, but because many of the Divas were. She's upset that many of them were snubbed from the grand event when they're on the road throughout the year, unlike her. Melina also said that she's not the only girl upset with Stratus for "taking their spot."

Meanwhile, Melina wrote a message on Twitter Tuesday defending her Diva peers, and that she will fight for them.

"I was eliminated from TE...Look how far I've come. I'm not the best but God knows I try my best! Thru all the h8 I'm still standing strong!"

"I don't care what ANY1 says, WWE Divas CAN wrestle. We prove it when we get time. I believe in them. I will fight 4 them until U see what I C."

"Thank you everyone. We have a strong group of women in the WWE. A roster that I'm proud to & be a part of."

Melina Chats on Her Return to the Ring

Melina is scheduled to return to the ring at tonight’s FCW show in Florida. She wrote the following on Monday:

“This tweet is about my day at fcw. Everyone thinks I’m wrestling right now and I have to do some wrestling style therapy to see what I can actually do and if it’s safe for me. The wwe doctor still needs to talk to my doctor in LA, then get back to the fcw therapist. I admit, certain moves scared me. I’m not sure if what I feel at times is bad, normal or all in my head. We just have to wait and see. I will keep you posted each day.”

Reason Why Diva's Were Switched

From: PWInsider.com

Beth Phoenix was moved to Smackdown because WWE felt that she lost some of here momentum on RAW and wanted to keep things fresh.

The Bella Twins were moved to RAW because Vince McMahon is said to have “fallen in love with them.” How can you blame him?

WWE is high on both Jilian Hall and Melina.

Candice Plays Heel in Weekend Match with Melina

source: PWInsider.com

Candice Michelle wrestled as a heel in a singles match with Melina at last night's Raw/ECW house show in Madison, Wisconsin. During the match, Candice faked an injury, to the point that a referee called for medical assistance from the back. When Melina tried to check on her, Candice pulled a fast one and rolled her up for the win, but Melina kicked out. Melina finished off Candice with her signature split kick for the win. Candice played a heel throughout the match, even as she was heading to the back.

WWE Diva Shakeup - Melina Hurt, Ashley Gone

From: IGN.com

Two stories with regards to the WWE divas may have long-lasting impacts on the careers of two of the more famous women within the company.

First, Melina's expected to miss five months with a broken heel she suffered last Monday on RAW. Melina suffered the injury when she fell off the top rope onto the floor.

In addition, former Diva Search winner Ashley Massaro has decided to leave the company. She's going to be caring for her seven-year-old daughter, who is ill, on a full-time basis.

Massaro won the Diva Search in 2005, and posed for Playboy in 2007. She also appeared as a contestant on Survivor the same year; she most recently appeared at WrestleMania, filling in for an injured Candace Michelle in the Playboy Bunnymania Lumberjack Match.

Melina's Ankle Injury Legit

While it seemed to play right into the storyline regarding the announcers switch, Melina suffered a legitimate ankle injury tonight on Raw during the Divas tag match. On the Raw homepage they wrote: "On Raw, Melina severely injured her ankle during a tag encounter with her fellow Divas." The WWE site posted a video of medics tending to her ankle injury backstage, which was heavily bandaged. The video shows a close-up of Melina's swollen ankle, proving that the injury is legit.

Who Goes Where in Monday Night's Draft?

Monday night in San Antonio the WWE will hold what has become one of its most anticipated shows of the year, as they will have a three-hour "draft " in which they will move a number of wrestlers from one brand to another. This event has been watered down a bit, as in the last year wrestlers have jumped from brand to brand week to week anyway, but nevertheless, this should be a fun event and a good show.

Of course we're expecting with a small spike in the ratings this past week to have another "Million Dollar Giveaway," which will do nothing more than give the fast forward buttons on DVR's all across the country a workout. With that, here are some predictions for the draft Monday night that will make up RAW.

Leaving RAW
--------------------

Carlito to ECW - Talk about someone in the doghouse, yet again. Carlito has continued to be outspoken about his role in the company, and a move to ECW may actually revive his struggling career, and a run at the ECW title may not be a bad idea for this 2nd generation star.

JBL to SmackDown - JBL had his most memorable run on the Friday night show, as he was the shows top star and champion for some time before dropping it to John Cena to start his run. He's not doing much on RAW, and a move back to Friday's could freshen up his wrestling career.

Melina to SmackDown - She's in a heated feud with Beth Phoenix, but they can end that quickly and move her to Friday's, where she'll be a solid addition as they seem bent on building up the women's division and creating another women's title.

Santino Marella to ECW - He's mostly known for his recent comedy on RAW with Roddy Piper, but Marella can wrestle, and he's just the type of mid-card guy that can move to ECW and put his career back on track vs guys like C.M. Punk and Tommy Dreamer.

Snitsky to SmackDown - Caught in a numbers game on RAW, Snitsky has gone back to being a guy that is mostly used in losing tag matches, and over on SmackDown he can at least give US Champ Matt Hardy a decent challenge for a few weeks.

Super Crazy to ECW - A former ECW star, Super Crazy would actually make a decent addition to the show, and its a show that needs faces, so he fits the bill as a mid-card face that can at least get some TV time.

Umaga to SmackDown - This has been rumored since Mania 24, and we'll go with it. Umaga has run his course on RAW, and a move to SmackDown would create some new feuds for the Samoan vs guys like Batista, Undertaker and a returning Rey Mysterio.

Leaving SmackDown
---------------------------------

Big Show to ECW - I can see Show topping Kane for the ECW strap at the "Night of Champions," so a move back to Tuesday nights, where he was champ for some time before leaving the company for a year, is for sure in the cards.

Chuck Palumbo to ECW - Much like Snitsky, Palumbo is a mid-card heel that can get a push by moving to the companies third brand and trying some new matches against guys he has not faced before.

Eve Torres to RAW - This former Diva search winner will get a chance to strut her stuff vs some of Monday night's best on the franchise show.

Jamie Noble to RAW - Always good at taking bumps, Noble will be an addition mostly for people to come in and defeat as a mid to low level card jobber.

Natalya to RAW - I think she's going to be part of the new "youth" faction that they are putting together with Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, DH Smith and Lance Cade. The group needs a womans touch, so why not Jim's daughter?

Vladimir Kozlov to ECW
- Just a guess here, but they have been building him up slowly on SmackDown, so a move to ECW would put him right in a title mix with Kane, Big Show, and others.

Leaving ECW
---------------------

Chavo Guerrero to SmackDown - He'll get a chance to be with sister-in-law Vicki Guerrero, and can continue his feud with US champ Matt Hardy. His time on ECW has run cold, so a move to Friday's would work.

Bam Neely to RAW - In the mold of a Snitsky, Neely can get a chance to come to the top rated show of the company and get some mid-card work and maybe get a small push to challenge some of the better faces on the show.

Elijah Burke to RAW - He has a ton of ability, it just seems like he's in this serious rut on ECW, and a move to RAW could make him get his career back on track, and maybe he can even find a partner to challenge for the tag belts.

C.M. Punk to SmackDown - Kind of a no-brainer, Punk is heading towards a semi main event feud with Edge after he drops the belt to Taker upon his return. I think he also looks to cash that "Money in the Bank" match in sometime while on Friday nights.
