WWE officials now realize that they have dropped the ball twice with Ted DiBiase Jr. and reuniting him with Cody Rhodes on SmackDown is supposed to be a way of reversing things.

The idea now is to re-create the dynamic that Alex Riley and The Miz had, with Rhodes and DiBiase. The plan right now is for DiBiase to continue doing Rhodes’ “dirty work” until Ted turns babyface and feuds with Cody.

A tag team rematch from Raw, Ezekiel Jackson, Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, is advertised for this week's episode of SmackDown.

Sin Cara scored the three-count for his team on Monday.

Cody Rhodes recently spoke with The Toronto Sun to promote his match with Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 27. Here are the highlights:

The match with Mysterio:
“I’m not one for false promises, exaggeration or hyperbole. In sports entertainment, you hear a lot of those. But I really believe this match has potential to steal the show. We’re stacked up against some beautiful matches and this is my hometown so that would be an added bonus. It’s our best superstars. I wouldn’t feel comfortable without having a< quality story. I used to think I should be on Mania, but looking back, no, shouldn’t have been. I wasn’t ready."

His “Dashing” nickname:
“It’s always been a running gag. My dad always tells people how good looking I am, with the movie-star looks … that kind of garbage. So (my character) does a lot of things men do every day, (grooming things). I’m fully on board with all of them, and he’d hate to hear this, but a lot of them really come from Randy Orton.”

After doing away with the Unified Tag Team Titles a few weeks ago, WWE has been wanting to make the belts more important and create more tag teams to contend for the titles.

Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre will face The Hart Dynasty in a non-title match on this week’s Friday Night SmackDown but it’s not confirmed yet if they will get a title shot at Night of Champions. It is possible WWE may add the match at the last minute.

There has been discussion this past week about building the tag titles up. The idea is to make a few regular teams on both RAW and SmackDown so the champions will have several credible challengers.

One idea is to do a Survivor Series style match at the pay-per-view in November with tag teams from both brands. The match wouldn’t necessarily be a RAW vs. SmackDown match but a heels vs. faces match.

There was an incident at Tuesday night’s WWE NXT tapings where Cody Rhodes was upset at Rookie Lucky Cannon. At the end of the tag team main event, Lucky didn’t take Rhodes’ finisher, Cross Rhodes, very well. Cody was visibly upset at the effort from Lucky and continued to vent backstage.

Cody Rhodes made his first appearance last night in Vienna, teaming with Ted DiBiase to lose to Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston. Cody and Ted cut promos on each other before the match.

Several pushed for Manu to be kicked out of The Legacy, most notably, Randy Orton. The feeling is that he isn’t in the same league or had the same amount of potential as others in the group, and didn’t really fit in as a result.

Many believe the group would be better off with Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase and possibly DH Smith. Although plans for Smith are on hold at the moment.

Considering that he’s no longer apart of Legacy, many feel Manu’s WWE future could be bleak to say the least. There isn’t much information going around on what plans the company has, or had, for Manu and we’ll have to wait see where they go with him.

During Randy Orton's media blitz of the U.K. last month, Power Slam conducted an interview with him. During the interview, Orton's asked if he thinks any WWE newcomers can beat his record of youngest ever holder of a major WWE singles title.

Orton brings up a few names, including Kenny Dykstra. Orton goes off tangent to bring up an incident between the two during a tour in Australia and says that he "never liked him at all."

He also brings up Cody Rhodes, as well as Ted DiBiase, and apparently doesn't know DiBiase's age as he'll be turning 26 years old in November. Orton doesn't think either wrestler is heavyweight champion material. Orton said, "I don't know if the business is going to be ready for a Cody Rhodes as champ. I love him, I think he's really great, he's got his own little niche, but I don't see him or Teddy being the heavyweight champion."

Here is what Orton said:

When you captured the World title aged 24 at SummerSlam 2004, you became the youngest ever holder of a major WWF/WWE singles title. Do you think any of the newcomers will beat your record?

That's a good question. I'm trying to think of the age of everybody. Cody and Teddy are young, right? Kenny Dykstra (who's 22) I knocked him out in Australia, actually one time. He was drinking and thought that he would f--k with me, and I warned him and slapped him so hard in the temple that I knocked him out. I never liked him at all. And everyone always told him, "You're the next Randy Orton." And you know what? F--k that. Make your own name. What does that mean anyway? I slapped the s--t out of Kenny Dykstra. And I don't even know where he is right now. But age-wise, Cody's 23. That's a long way to go (in less than a year).

I got very lucky. I was wrestling Edge a lot back then. And I was over as a heel and getting a chance because I was wrestling Edge.... They thought I was over, so they thought, 'Let's give this kid a run.' Plus, Brock Lesnar had been the youngest champ and they didn't like Lesnar (who had left the company in March 2004), so I had a lot of luck in getting that spot.

I don't know if the business is going to be ready for a Cody Rhodes as champ. I love him, I think he's really great, he's got his own little niche, but I don't see him or Teddy being the heavyweight champion. I don't know who else is of that age. D.H. Smith (who is 22)? I don't know. Hopefully, no one because, to be honest, I don't want anyone to break my record and I don't think there's any potential right now for anyone to (do so), either.

Hardcore Holly's WWE career is reported to be over soon. The 45-year-old wrestler has not been used in months and it would take someone such as the Undertaker to support him with management to keep him around. A downside to Holly remaining with the company is that the younger wrestlers have complained that he works too stiff. He was planned to work an angle with Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes where he was looking for revenge. A promo was shot with Holly that never aired because of his bad performance. Management felt that he would work stiff with DiBiase and Rhodes to make them look bad, so the program was cancelled.

WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young has been contacted to appear at Monday's Raw/Saturday Night's Main Event taping at the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. It unknown if she'll be appearing on Saturday Night's Main Event for NBC or for Raw on Monday. She'll likely interact with WWE World Tag Team Champions Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes in some form during her appearance.

For those of you wondering what happened to Hardcore Holly after Cody Rhodes turned on him at the pay per view costing them the Tag Team Championships, Mike Johnson is reporting that the WWE sent him home due to some heat he has on him after an unidentified incident. There were recent rumors saying that he was going to be released from the company, but they are simply rumors at this point and he has not been released. He has been taken off the road though to take care of some personal issues and there's no time frame on when he might return to the company.

As John pointed out in our RAW recap, there are some programs that are starting to shape up the summer, some of which they will likely throw at us at the "Great American Bash" while others will be slowed up till "SummerSlam." The program with John Cena and HHH I think will be a three-month affair, with a singles match this month, next month, and then I predict a three-way with Jeff Hardy at SummerSlam.

The Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels feud will no doubt be a very good one, and this one very much could also be a three-month feud, ending with some special stip match at SummerSlam. While the draft is going to change a lot, one thing seems for sure - the Undertaker will be back for the big summer show, and from all indications we are hearing, it'll be him and Edge, again, for the strap at the biggest summer PPV.

Pretty much a foregone conclusion that you can see the newest heel group of young stars being built, as Ted Dibiase Jr. will get some other younger stars, including Cody Rhodes to join the group, and we think that DH Smith could also be a part. Randy Orton's name came up, but I can't see that, but if you want another 2nd generation star in that group - why not Natialie Neidhart to add a little female flair?

So there's plenty to look forward to as we continue along this summer. While the main event feuds appear set, the lesser 2nd tier feuds and where they lead us could be just as much fun as well, which is rare for this time of the year.

One idea being thrown around is a heel stable composed of a group of younger WWE wrestlers. Also, they would use an older wrestler or a manager as a mentor.

One idea is to make it a second generation stable featuring Ted DiBiase, Jr., Afa, Jr., DH Smith, Cody Rhodes (who would turn heel), and maybe Carlito as the mouthpiece if they don't get a manager.

However, it may not be a 100% second generation stable after all, as other names being tossed around include CM Punk and Chris Harris. However, the young wrestlers stable is the basic idea they have in mind.
