WWE’s SmackDown brand kicked off their South African tour today with a show in Cape Town that saw hometown star Justin Gabriel as a babyface. Gabriel wrestled Sin Cara to a no contest due to interference from Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes. This led to Cara and Gabriel defeating the two.

A tag team rematch from Raw, Ezekiel Jackson, Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, is advertised for this week's episode of SmackDown.

Sin Cara scored the three-count for his team on Monday.

WWE Hall of Famer "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, a long time colleague of "Macho Man" Randy Savage, appeared on Monday Night Mayhem, which airs every Monday at 7:00 p.m. Highlights from his interview are as follows:

His reaction to Savage's passing and how he always saw himself identifying with Randy throughout his career:

"I identified with Randy a lot. We both had a lot in common, in that we were both buys who grew up in this industry whose fathers were wrestlers. I've always believed that for kids who that grew up in the industry that it's not just a job, but it's something they fell in love with and something they've known all their lives. There's a certain camaraderie there. In a word, Randy was charismatic. He'll be very missed, and it's sad."

What he will personally and professionally remember the most about Randy, both inside and outside the ring:

"It was his professionalism. He was all business. He would laugh, and cut up, and have fun too, but for the most part, he was a consummate pro. He took his job and his work very seriously, and I always admired that. He was incredibly dedicated."

The Ultimate Warrior has posted another (very long) blog on his website firing back at the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase’s comments that he doesn’t belong in the WWE Hall of Fame because he was a terrible worker and a didn’t appreciate what the industry did for him.

DiBiase’s Christianity & Past Sins: “Let’s be honest, here, Father Teddy. (What irony, having to instruct a man-of-the-cloth to be honest.) It was never guilt that made you change your ways to become a man of God. It was gluttony — and your dark desire to continue getting away with it. You’ve never had the discipline, in your whole life, to restrain your appetites for anything — and you still don’t. All you’ve done is substitute vices and indulgences. When you were in the business and your ego was powered by your gimmick and your fame and celebrity, you were gluttonous for sluts and salacious thoughts and living. When it was all over, the superficiality of celebrity was gone and you had nothing to cling to anymore to cover up your natural repulsiveness. Even the worst whores have standards. Once you were nothing, without the TV and the Million Dollar Man gimmick (which WWF footed the entire bill for), they wanted nothing to do with you anymore. You crawled home on your knees to your wife and God, all seemingly in the desire to be forgiven. DiBiase Calling Himself a Warrior: “Let’s get real, Teddy. You certainly never, ever came close to looking or acting like a warrior at any time during your life. On some level, it seems to me and I imagine many others, associating oneself with the concept “warrior” should or would have something to do with self-discipline, meaningful sacrifices, inner strength, digging deep within oneself to be the best one can be, integrity, honor, etc. More especially so in your case, now, since your goal as a man-of-the-cloth is to guide people away from the forces that lure them to be the worst they can be. And to do this you use the Bible’s inspiring stories of warrior-like individuals who practiced these honorable virtues, right?”

Satan’s Pig: “I really think this is where you fail the best in being a fraud, a hypocrite — a real snake-oil salesman. In fact, you fail so successfully at gluttony, I think you missed the calling of what would have been your best gimmick. The one that truly fits: Satan’s Pig. You are the embodiment of Satan’s Pig. Your face, body, mind and spirit provide the perfect image of it. Amazing, isn’t it? After all these years of stumbling around to squeeze yourself to a gimmick, you finally come face to face with your best gimmick — the real you.”

Warrior’s Success vs. DiBiase’s: “You say the only time I had a great match was when someone was leading me around by the nose. Once and for all, let’s stop the bullshit and put things in no uncertain terms: without guys like me, Ted Dibiase, you never would have worked a Main Event match in the WWF.

“You were so smart about the business, Teddy, you were too stupid to figure out how it really works. Guys like you funded petty cash. Guys like me — and Hogan and Savage at the time — paid the mortgages and the travel bills and the production costs of the whole operation. Your profit making contribution was like hitting three cherries on a nickel slot machine. Mine was like hitting the Powerball Jackpot. I earned my limousine. Yours was provided as part of your silly gimmick. Reality check: my quarterly royalty checks were for more money than you made in a whole year. It was never about who could draw money with a guy like you — it was always about who could draw money with a guy like me. Guys like you were one-of-many. Guys like me were one-of-a-kind.”

In an interview with the MondayNightMayhem radio show, WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase had some harsh words for former co-worker The Ultimate Warrior, who was in talks with WWE about being part of this year’s Hall of Fame class.

DiBiase says he’s glad Warrior was not inducted into the Hall of Fame this year over WrestleMania weekend. “I’m glad he wasn’t there. I’m glad he wasn’t there because he’s somebody I don’t particularly care for, and quite frankly, he was somebody who got a big push, DiBiase said. “He’s one of those guys that has never really appreciated what was done for him, and all you have to do is watch the DVD. There’s a lot of guys that did well in the industry that may have been lacking in some areas.”

DiBiase worked with the Ultimate Warrior during Warrior’s run at the top of the World Wrestling Federation, but say the only time the man from Parts Unknown would have a good match is if his opponent carried him the whole way.

“Here’s a guy who the only reason he ever had a great match, every great match he had was directly depended upon who he was wrestling. And if the guy across the ring from him couldn’t lead him around by the nose, he couldn’t have a good match. So the fact that he wasn’t called on doesn’t bother me at all. I thought that since he lived out in that area, I thought that could have happened, and quite honestly, it would have been a very tense backstage environment if he and I were together. He’s one of those guys who has been given so much in terms of an opportunity in our industry, who even to this day doesn’t appreciate it, and I don’t know for the life of me who he thinks he is.”

Ted DiBiase Jr. noted on his Twitter page that he and his younger Brett, one-half of the FCW Tag Team Champions, would be inducting their father into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

- The 2010 WWE Hall of Fame class currently is made up of the late Stu Hart, Japan legend Antonio Inoki and Ted DiBiase Sr.

Celebrity names that have came up in discussions the past few months include Mike Tyson and Bob Uecker. Tyson has homes in Las Vegas and Phoenix, plus with the recent RAW guest host gig, he makes sense to be inducted this year.

Uecker has been asked about joining the Hall of Fame a few times in the past but has always turned down the invite as he’s been leery with media coverage of steroids in wrestling and his former sport, baseball.

No word yet on who the celebrity will be this year to get inducted.

For what it’s worth, The Ultimate Warrior’s name is still brought up in discussions about going into the Hall of Fame this year. Warrior lives in Phoenix and WWE is still in need of a big name to be inducted this year.

Rumor has it that Ted DiBiase Sr. will be returning to WWE soon to take part in a storyline with Ted DiBiase Jr. on the RAW brand. The article notes that Ted is planning on wrestling one more match as part of the storyline.

The subject of The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak was discussed during booking meetings this past week. The idea of someone beating The Undertaker has always been talked about as a way to establish a new Superstar and not something they would do for an established Superstar, but the general feeling is that Taker would never lose at WrestleMania. Vince McMahon is opposed to the idea but feels if it’s done, it has to be with a guy everyone agreed was a sure thing. Vince doesn’t want to waste something that big on a “maybe” guy.

A lot of names have been discussed as to who could break the streak but Ted DiBiase was the most talked about and Vince came out very high on him. It’s not something WWE feels could be done next year but it was brought up as a potential angle for a few years down the line if DiBiase turns out how they want him to. They want DiBiase to be the next Randy Orton, but without some of the problems that have came along with Orton.

There is an idea for a long-term storyline that would have Ted and The Undertaker feud, bringing up that it was Ted’s father, DiBiase Sr. that storyline introduced The Undertaker to the WWF. For those who don’t know, The Undertaker made his official debut with WWE at the Survivor Series 1990, as a surprise member of DiBiase’s Million Dollar Team.

HE was the Man who had everything – a Million Dollar wrestling career and lifestyle.

But behind the famous laugh and wads of cash, Ted DiBiase’s ego and womanising were out of control.

Then one phone call from his wife saved his marriage, changed his life and made Ted a role model for every aspiring wrestler in the business today.

Surprisingly, that conversation involved his beloved Melanie confronting him over his cheating.

In an exclusive interview with SunSport, The Million Dollar Man admitted: “I had everything I’d ever asked for, but what took over and consumed my life for 20 years was my pride. The ego. Life all became about me. It was very self-serving.

“At the pinnacle of my success in the early 1990s, I really let the notoriety and money go to my head.

“What finally broke that cycle was my adultery being caught out.

“I called home the day after WrestleMania VIII from a payphone in the lobby of a Detroit hotel.

“That was when my wife confronted me about the fact that she had discovered that I’d been fooling around.
