Here are some highlights of what Big Show recently spoke about during an interview CTPost.com:

Mark Henry: “He has really come into his own and stepped up his level of intensity. When you’re in the ring with him, you feel how powerful he is. I’m not embarrassed to say Mark is stronger than I am. “When I’m in the ring with someone who has a real potential to crush my spine, it increases my intensity level. Mark makes me push myself athletically.”

Dark Match Main Events at TV Tapings: “We do a great job putting out our TV product, but for fans in specific market areas, we like to give them something extra. It’s a reward for people for showing their support and coming out.”

His Career: “I’ve never been that kind of guy to talk about great matches or bad matches. What happened yesterday is what happened yesterday. I’ve worked with some of the biggest names in this business. And yeah, I’ve been around a long time and done a lot of cool things. But I just try to stay humble and keep working hard.”

WWE Title Match
R-Truth vs. John Cena

While I love the character of R-Truth and the push he has gotten, I can't see them putting the belt on him. About the only way is if it's a one month reign, and then Cena wins it back in time to face off with Alberto Del Rio at SummmerSlam in Los Angeles.

World Heavyweight Title Match
Christian vs. Randy Orton

Orton had a legit concussion that they worked in the storyline, and if they want to give him time off, they can put the belt on Christian tonight and keep that angle hot. SmackDown needed a top heel, and it was a good decision to take Christian in that direction. With that, I think they keep the strap on Orton with possibly a cage match between these two next month.

Intercontinental Title Match
Ezekiel Jackson vs. Wade Barrett

While I like Jackson, Barrett is the up and coming star, and unless they are going to push him into the semi-main angle with say a Big Show or Orton, I can't see them giving the belt to Jackson. Getting Barrett's old partners involved may be a way to have him lose if they go in that direction.

WWE United States Title Match
Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston

Like the direction Ziggler has been heading in, and while Kofi's act is always a crowd pleaser, I hope they give Ziggler the strap, as he's been working hard and they can keep this angle fresh and have other faces go after the US Belt.

The Miz vs. Alex Riley

This could be the most heated match on the card, and I for one am looking forward to this one. Riley has been red hot since going face, and I think he and Miz will have an excellent match. I'll go Miz here, with Riley getting over at the PPV next month.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show

Show has this new aggression thing going, which is cool, but not sure how it's going to work as I think they need to keep Del Rio hot, and keep him winning. They could allow Show to get his revenge and lose via DQ, which is very possible, and then next month go over clean in getting ready for Cena at SummerSlam.

CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio

Throw away match to probably go on 2nd or 3rd. No real angle built up, and just a way to get these two mid-card guys on the show. With the future of Punk very much in question, I think they let Mysterio go over here.

Following NBA star Shaquille O'Neal announcing his retirement earlier this week, WWE is teasing that Shaq could be returning to the company to rekindle his feud with the Big Show. Shaq was the celebrity guest host of an episode of RAW back in July 2009 and had a memorable confrontation with Show.

The following was posted on the WWE website on Friday:

"WWE Universe member Shaquille O'Neal has had the world abuzz since announcing his retirement from the NBA. After his tussle with Big Show as Raw guest star, WWE fans might wonder if the 15-time All-Star will now look to settle his one-night rivalry."

Earlier this week, Dragon Gate USA booker Gabe Sapolsky wrote a blog in which he suggested that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon reach out to Shaq. Sabpolsky wrote:

"It's no secret that wrestling .. errrr ... sports entertainment needs something to shake it up," Sapolsky wrote. "WWE gained a great boost recently with the return of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Now they need that one hook for the mainstream public like Mike Tyson was in 1996.

"'The Answer' just quit his job and became a free agent. His name is Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq is on the market. It's well documented he loves wrestling. He understands how to entertain and perform. He has size and athletic ability. The best part is he could now make a long term commitment and he's looking for something new to do."

In a new interview with John Pollock of The Fight Network, Kevin Nash says he hopes to face Big Show at this year's WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view and talks about almost doing something with Show at the WrestleMania 27 pay-per-view last month. Nash notes that it wouldn't have been fair to take the WrestleMania spot of another WWE Superstar who had been waiting on their first WrestleMania.

Regarding his WWE return at the Royal Rumble earlier this year, Nash said those few moments were better than anything that happened to him during his five year stint with TNA.

Nash also talks about how Shawn Michaels (who he thinks won't ever return), other veterans and himself may get involved with WWE's developmental process that Triple H is currently heading up.

Silvervision has confirmed two matches set for WWE’s upcoming DVD on Big Show. Big Show: A Giant’s World is scheduled to be released on February 22nd. Those matches are The Giant vs. Ric Flair for the WCW World Heavyweight Title on the April 4th, 1996 episode of WCW Nitro and the WCW World Heavyweight Title match and Sumo Monster Truck Competition between The Giant and Hulk Hogan at WCW’s Halloween Havoc 1995.

WWE announced on their website today that principle photography will wrap this week in New Orleans on their next movie, Knucklehead. The movie stars
Big Show, Mark Feuerstein from Royal Pains and Melora Hardin from The Office. The movie is a comedy adventure which also stars Dennis Farina from Law & Order and others. The movie is currently scheduled for a theatrical release in the Spring of 2010.

John Cena is back, just a few weeks after being thrown through a spotlight at Backlash. He's ready to get some revenge on The Big Show, and survive in the process. Read our thoughts on the match.

Matt: Well, I wouldn't call it a "miracle victory" like Michael Cole did, but Cena getting Show over his head in the end was pretty impressive. I once again expect to see these two in a match in three weeks at the "Extreme Rules" PPV, and this time, there probably will be some extreme stip with it. It's kinda nice to see Cena not in the title pic, and Show looked pretty good as well. We will see where they go from here with this one.

John: A bit anticlimactic. On night with great high intensity matches, we basically finish it up with a slow paced one. Overall it was not bad, bt compared to all the previous matches this one stood out like a sore thumb. I ended in the classic Cena gets his butt whooped all night then gets a rush of strength for the win. This angle has gotten old and really does noting to Cena's credit. If you are to be a top star in the WWE you need to at least show up for most of the match. I know it's entertainment and not real sport, but come on, nobody can get a super human rush of strength everytime in order to win matches.

We're down to the last two matches at Mania, the first of the big two being the World Heavyweight Title match. Here is our breakdown on that match:

Matt Loede: Well, it was kind of made known in inner circles that Edge would drop the strap, the only thing would be would it be Cena or Big Show. In the end, they give it to Cena, who probably now will get into a program with Show. The whole Edge-Vicky thing probably goes on the back burner for awhile, and I think they have Show hurt Edge enough for him to have to take some time off, as it's being said he has to get his knee back in shape. I'm not a huge fan of triple-threat matches, but these guys pulled it off pretty well, and even with Edge taking time off, we'll see these three probably do it again in three weeks at Backlash.

As for Cena getting the belt, it's an okay decision, but I think it would have been fresh to put it on Show, who hasn't had a strap since he carried ECW when it started. We'll see if another Cena title run is something that gets over or not. I'm thinking it will at first, but then grow stale just like all the others. Okay match, but a letdown after the awesome Michaels vs Taker battle.

John Sefcik: The champ has returned ladies and gentlemen. A nice paced match for a triple threat, nothing special, but nothing to dull. I'm not complaining as the match was good to watch, unlike a few of the matches we have had to suffer through tonight. And despite your love or hatred of Cena, he makes a good champ as he gives his all in the ring and is fantastic on the mic. The question is where do we go from here? I'm sure there will at least be a rematch featuring Edge, but you know the rated R Super Star will end up finishing some business with the Big Show. Hopefully that ends soon and we get Edge back in a championship program. Both he and Cena are the great talents that will carry the WWE into the future. I would love for these two to keep the fire of this feud alive for awhile. Cena is probably the best face the organization has and Edge is his heel counterpart. No offense to Triple H, these two guys are the ones who can take the WWE back to its heights when the Rock and Stone Cold ruled the roost.

As reported earlier, Big Show was originally earmarked to take part in the Money in the Bank Match at WrestleMania XXV, but Vince McMahon decided to put him in the World Heavyweight Championship bout instead. Mark Henry ended up taking place in the bout. Had Big Show stayed in the match, he was expected to win the briefcase.

McMahon felt they had done John Cena vs. Edge way too many times before, so he changed the bout to a three-way match by adding Big Show to it. Although, weeks worth of angles between Cena and Edge were shot before he came to this decision.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is all but confirmed that John Cena will be added to the Big Show vs. Edge match at WrestleMania 25. However, the reason they are adding Big Show to the mix is to give the feud some life since Edge vs. John Cena has been done so many times before.

Friday Night's SmackDown is what I feel the start of what we'll be seeing a lot more of up to WrestleMania XXV. That of course is main event type stars changing brands and being on other shows on a weekly basis to start building feuds and what not before Mania gets going.

Friday night we saw John Cena "chase" Edge and Vicki over to SmackDown, and it seems like the company is setting up for a Cena vs Edge match at Mania. I can't help but think though that Cena's opponent on Friday night - The Big Show, is going to be in the mix in some fashion. Can you say - triple threat?

I have always liked Cena-Show matches, and Friday's match again was good, but of course you knew that Edge would get involved, which of course allowed Show to get the win with the choke slam. Overall though good match.

The Hardy brothers back and forth was weak. Does anyone remember when Undertaker refused to fight his brother Kane back 11 years ago? We all know what happened there, as since then the two have fought some 5,000 times. Now we'll have that chararde with Jeff and Matt, which will lead to the match at Mania between the pair.

Seems like the age of the Undertaker is really starting to show. I was a bit stunned to see him lose to Kozlov, and clean was even more of a shock. Taker just is starting to look old, and he'll be 44 years old on March 24th. Sure, he'll wrestle for about another 5 years probably, but the years of abuse in the ring seem to be showing.

The US Title run with Chavo, MVP and Shelton Benjamin is a very good feud. I can't wait till they finally announce a three-way with these three at Mania, which really is a match they should make. Chavo got a win over Benjamin, but in the end, with the belt on the line, this will be a good match if it's made.

The Colon vs Miz/Morrison match was a good open, and I hope they have a series of more matches, as these four seem to work well together.

Overall, a good night on SmackDown, and again, with Mania getting closer and closer, it's time for all the WWE shows to start picking up big time.

We all know already that next week we are going to see Vladimir Kozlov take on the Undertaker with the stip being if Vlad wins, he gets a title shot at Triple H at Survivor Series. In other words - book it. Taker is coming off a casket match win over Chavo Guerrero on Smackdown Friday night, and what I can forsee is Vlad and Taker going at it, and this time Big Show gets his revenge and knocks out Taker, giving Kozlov the win and the title shot.

My question though is this - do you really want to see Triple H vs. Kozlov? I mean, can you actually see the big Russian being a true legit challenger to the “King of Kings”? I can’t. He’s your typical big man that can do some things in the ring, but overall his character is not much, and while I like them doing the undefeated angle, this one is not going to be very good.

Triple H has not exactly had the best of challengers since moving to SmackDown. We’ve had the Khali angle, which was painful enough, and now after a pretty good but in the end rather one-sided feud with Jeff Hardy, it’s not Kozlov’s turn.

Let’s grin and bear it, as the only thing I can see them coming up with next is a long feud with Edge and eventually they will move HHH on to the Undertaker, where these two SHOULD do battle at WrestleMania 25.

The Halloween edition of SmackDown is in the books, and as usual for a Halloween episode, it was built around the Undertaker, who took on Chavo Guerrero in a “Casket Match” that of course saw interference from The Big Show, who is in the midst of a feud with Taker.

Taker though got the win, which is not a shock since they want to build towards next week’s showdown between Taker and Vladimir Kozlov. The stip as Vickie Guerrero told us at the very end of the show is if Vlad wins, he gets Triple H at Survivor Series (gee, wonder what is going to happen there). In other words, it’ll be Show getting a win for Vlad, who will then move on to a match with HHH at the PPV.

The show other than that was mostly filler matches, with matches like the tag champs (Carlito and Primo) losing in the opener to Miz and Morirson in a non-title match. A strong open, but the moment you heard it was a non-title, you knew that Miz and Morrison would win, thus pushing their match on Monday night on the 800th RAW vs DX.

The pair of six-person tag matches were okay for what they were worth, but the most annoying aspect of them and other parts of the show for that matter was the countless interruptions by the “Hurrapop” which is nothing more than Gregory Helms, who is on his way back, giving some quips about a wrestler, diva, or whatever he feels like.

First off, Helms is not funny, and second, he’s been gone so long, no one really cares he’s coming back anyway. Sorry Gregory. I also guess they will finally be pushing Brian Kendrick’s sidekick – Ezekiel, who beat up and took out Jimmy Wang Yang after he upset Kendrick by DQ. The monster then came in and beat on Yang. It also marks the end of any real push for Kendrick, who has been off TV a lot lately, and seems to be back to mid-card or lower status.

Other than that, not a whole lot to this show, we’ll see next week when Kozlov gets his Survivor Series shot at Triple H, and what else they start building towards this usually pretty good PPV. I can forsee a “casket match” with Show vs Taker as well. For the most part, this SmackDown was a show worth missing.

Edge is expected to be returning within the next few weeks. The idea originally was to have him stay gone long enough to sell the ending of the Hell in a Cell match with The Undertaker at SummerSlam but they wanted The Undertaker to be fully established in a new program before bringing him back. Edge was banged up but there was no serious injury that has kept him out this time.

The storyline is that Vickie Guerrero is going to lead Big Show to the WWE Title, which looks like a Triple H vs. Show feud coming up. No word yet where Edge will fit in with everything, but it’s possible he could screw Hardy or Triple H the match at No Mercy and work with whoever he costs the match.

In the world of pro wrestling, anytime you introduce anything new, from a new character to a new type of match, you run a risk. Sunday night in Cleveland at the latest WWE PPV - Unforgiven, the company rolled out its newest invention - the "Championship Scramble" matches. Basically it was a five-man match that would go 20 minutes, and the last wrestler to get a pin would win.

One would think that it could be complete chaos, but in the end, this was one idea that I actually liked, and I thought worked. It wasn't like the invention of the steel cage or anything like that, but it was more like a Royal Rumble title match with wrestlers coming in every few minutes till you had all five guys going at it.

They did a "scramble" for each belt, the ECW, WWE and World Heavyweight titles, and in the end, moved two belts - the ECW and World Heavyweight. Matt Hardy won the ECW in the opening match, which showed right away that the scramble would work, and in a surprise, Chris Jericho scored a last second pin to win the Heavyweight title.

They only had six matches on the card, the three scramble matches, a Divas title match, tag title match and grudge match with Shawn Michaels and Jericho. The decision to bring Jericho back later on came as Randy Orton backstage knocked out title holder C.M. Punk, setting up a feud when Orton is cleared to return. It made it so RAW had to find another wrestler to compete in the scramble - enter Y2J.

It also was a night where the company moved ahead and created a number of feuds for the coming months, some of which should be very good:

Y2J vs Batista for the World Heavyweight Title
C.M. Punk vs Randy Orton (when he comes back)
Big Show vs Undertaker
Matt Hardy vs anyone on the ECW roster, as now Hardy has the belt
Jeff Hardy vs Triple H

Of course the fear is the overuse of the scramble, but I think they be wise and use it as they use the elimination chamber, once to twice a year at most. Give the company credit for trying some new things in this PPV, and things that I thought in the end will make for some interesting feuds moving forward.

The gutsy call of the night was to go with Jericho as the new champ, but I have been giving him major props for his character for weeks, and now that he has the belt, I think he'll make a great champ, and it sets up a solid feud with Batista for the belt that should bring out the best in both wrestlers.
