Another wrestler will be soon entering the movie business, this time Dave “Fit” Finlay is the focus of a new film from director Ronan McCloskey, reports the UK Sun newspaper.

The film is a documentary and looks at Irish wrestling in general while also focusing specifically on Finlay’s family.

“The Finlays” is the name of the film and on completion is set to air on Setanta Ireland and the BBC in the UK.

The WWE Mobile service has an "After The Bell" video of Mike Knox getting into a scuffle with Finlay backstage. On Tuesday's edition of ECW, they aired a Mike Knox video package, so it looks like he's in line for a more distinct role in the company. Knox has been directionless for the most part since the conclusion of his program with Kelly Kelly in December 2006.

Preview:A Hardy two for one on Tuesday
July 15, 2008

As reported on WWE.com over the weekend, The Hardys will reunite for one night only on ECW on Sci Fi this Tuesday night. SmackDown Superstar Jeff Hardy will tag over to the Land of the Extreme to partner up with his brother, United States Champion Matt Hardy, and face off against the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Miz & John Morrison. Titles won't be on the line, but the "Dirt Sheet" duo's self-proclaimed reputation as the best tandem in WWE could be in jeopardy when they confront the team that for years epitomized Extreme.

Meanwhile, ECW Champion Mark Henry has had the Land of the Extreme in the palm of his massive hand, and last Tuesday was no different. The World’s Strongest Man took advantage of a distraction by Tony Atlas and Colin Delaney, capitalizing and crushing Tommy Dreamer. The ECW Original and former ECW Champion has not been shy about wanting to prove himself against Henry. Have his days of trying come to an end? Can somebody slow the champion down and prevent him from making the era of Mark Henry virtually permanent?

New Superstar Evan Bourne continues to open eyes with his performances. His convincing win against Nunzio further establishes that he belongs with the extreme competition on Tuesday nights. Braden Walker also had a quick start, defeating Armando Estrada on Tuesday. One week earlier, new Superstar Ricky Ortiz also notched a win in his debut. Is new blood about to start defining the Land of the Extreme?

Also on the last ECW, the rivalry continued to escalate between Finlay & Hornswoggle and the WWE Tag Team Champions. The father-son duo got the last laugh, however, as Finlay topped The Miz in one-on-one competition. Do the Irishmen still pose as a threat to The Miz & John Morrison’s titles?

Finlay was moved to ECW in last week's Supplemental Draft. Officials made the decision to move Finlay to ECW to help young wrestlers make the transition between developmental and the main roster what with his role as a wrestler/coach. The wrestler/coach role was originally earmarked for Chris Benoit last year, but the company had no one to take it over after his sudden suicide.

The Following was posted one year ago today on Let's Wrestle

SmackDown was a pretty entertaining show on Friday night that did what it had to do to lead to its two matches on Sunday's Backlash PPV from Atlanta. The main event was a tag-team no-DQ match with Undertaker and Batista teaming, and actually playing nice, against Kennedy and Finley. It was a pretty nice long match (not quite Cena vs Michales), but long and effective enough, and in the end, Batista got the pin with a spinebuster on Finley. It came of course after Taker had cleaned house and chokeslammed them both, then Batista snuck in for the pin.

Both men then ran some smack to lead to Sunday's "Last Man Standing" match, which was well done as well. I always say that them allowing Taker to talk just a bit is a really effective way to get him over, and that is what they did here. I think their match on Sunday could be really good, it just depends if they can get up for it like they did at Mania. The other Backlash match that was previewed was Chris Benoit vs MVP, which was again a good match, but a lame ending as MVP took the countout as he played it like why bother since he has a title match on Sunday. I think it is safe the way they are building MVP that he gets the win on Sunday for the title.

The rest of the show was pretty good, with a decent singles match with Brian Kendrick and Deuce, which was won after a little outside interference from Domino and Cherry. JBL predicts a long title run for the Deuce and Domino team, but for some reason, I think they trade back and forth with London and Kendrick a few times. They had a ugly womens match with Jillian Hall and Michelle McCool, which Jilliam won after a facebuster. The most interesting match of the night was the opener, which saw Kane and Boogeyman team up against Regal and Taylor. Maybe this can actually be a team (Kane and Boogeyman) that can do something, as they seemed to get along well, and it was a fun match to watch.

So this was a decent show that did keep my interest for two hours. Now we have wrapped up the 5 hours of TV for the week, and all we can do is sit and wait for Backlash tomorrow night.

The WWE is overseas once again, where last evening in Belfast the company put on a sold out show with SmackDown and ECW, and some interesting story lines either started or moved along that you won't hear about for awhile on TV.

The most interesting, and this is a spoiler alert for those that do not know about the SmackDown/ECW tapings that took place Sunday and will air Thursday and Friday - is the upcoming heel turn for Chuck Palumbo. Seems that Chuckie is back to the dark side, and on the show in Belfast he took on Jamie Noble, and played the role of heel. Later on in the show, Palumbo interfered in the match between Finlay and The Great Khali, coming on and attacking Finlay. He also got some mic time at the end, making his intentions known.

This turn is not much of a shock, as Palumbo has had numerous characters, and all have been better as heels than any sort of face. Most characters have been in tag teams, with the most famous being the Billy and Chuck tag team that was managed by Rico, which prompted many memorable matches with their..ahem...gay tendencies, and of course who could forget their famous "wedding" on SmackDown.

Anyway, so while I guess we have a new heel, we also had a new name for a SmackDown talent who simply has yet to live up to the billing. In the opening match on the card, Jesse and Festus teamed up to take on the team of Drew McIntyre, who was recently called up to the main roster, and Ken Doane, aka Kenny Dykstra. Seems that they want a new name, and possibly new success for Doane (his real name this time) and a breakaway from the name Dykstra. They also are no longer putting Kenny with Victoria, as that seems to have run its course. If this brings Doane (who with McIntyre lost to Jesse and Fesuts) to anymore success remains to be seen.
