Latest Q&A From Jim Ross' Blog
On whether Shawn Michaels will go into the WWE Hall Of Fame: HBK is a layup for the HOF. When, is the question, but a layup nonetheless.
On Kane returning to his old masked look: I don’t "feel" we will see Kane return to the mask but that was my favorite rendition of his persona. I assume the unmasking was simply to add something different to his persona and not allow it to become stale.
On whether WWE should change John Cena's character: I would leave Cena just as he is and let fans make their own decision as to whether to boo or cheer John. I assure you that what ever decision is made, John is good with it. Fans are much more apt to speak their minds more today so no one is going to be 100% universally accepted most likely.
On whether Chris Benoit will go into the WWE Hall Of Fame: My assumption would be "highly unlikely". That’s unfortunate too.
On whether Randy Savage will ever be doing business with WWE again: My opinion would be a no.
On whether WWE should bring back the War Games concept: As I have said here many times, I think a War Games theme would add sizzle to a PPV.
On who the greatest "package" of in-ring and mic skill has been in wrestling history: Easy one…Ric Flair.
Will Ric Flair become an announcer after he retires: Could happen, but Ric will have a role in the WWE long after he is done as an active wrestler which might be later than some think.
The status of everyone's favorite worm-eater: Boogeyman is dealing with an injury, as I understand it. He will most likely be back when he is medically cleared.
On the ECW product of today compared to the original: ECW of today is ECW in initials only. I watch it every week because I enjoy Styles and Tazz but also because of the younger guys who are featured. This particular ECW will never satisfy old school ECW fans and it is likely to never revert back to the "extreme style".
On Matt and Jeff Hardy: Jeff has always had "it’ and is now getting a chance to show "it" in singles bouts and has become one of the WWE’s biggest stars. Matt has to get over the injury issues and get back on the roll he started with MVP and to continue to work hard to refine the verbal aspect of his game. Matt Hardy is a class person who, I think, could be around the WWE in a variety of capacities for years to come. Matt is not and has never been "chopped liver".
