From BoxingScene.com
- In his first public statement since news broke of World Wrestling Entertainment's offer, Oscar De La Hoya had the following to say to BoxingScene.com on why he rejected the chance to take part at WrestleMania 24:
"I don’t want to get involved with (pro wrestling), I’m a fighter. My business is boxing. I know boxing. I don’t know wrestling. I’m not a wrestler. I’ve never trained to be a wrestler. So I’m not going to go out there and think that I can wrestle. It was never in my plans."
