At one point, WWE had planned for a Nexus vs. The Corre match at WrestleMania 27 but that match has apparently been nixed from the card. It’s believed that The Corre will now take Big Show on in some kind of match.

This is not confirmed but Kevin Nash is being speculated as a possible partner for Show. Nash was apparently told he would be doing another match with WWE soon and that may come in Atlanta.

A new Nexus faction was formed at Tuesday’s WWE SmackDown tapings.

Following Wade Barrett’s match with the Big Show that took place at the tapings, Ezekiel Jackson, Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater joined Wade Barrett in beating down the Big Show. The four men banded together and made it known they are now working as a unit.

WWE has been teasing Jackson’s SmackDown debut for weeks with video promos, but up until this week’s tapings, there had been no indication he would be aligning himself with Wade Barrett.

Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel were apparently kicked out of CM Punk’s Nexus this past Monday on RAW after they couldn’t accept their initiations.

CM Punk’s Nexus now consists of himself, Husky Harris, David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty.

Wade Barrett’s new incarnation of Nexus is made up of himself, Ezekiel Jackson, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel.

As seen on last night’s SmackDown, The Nexus appeared but Wade Barrett was not with them. Barrett was absent because he was headed overseas with the RAW brand last Tuesday when SmackDown was taped.

On Monday’s RAW, it was announced that John Cena will be the special guest referee for Randy Orton’s WWE title defense against Wade Barrett at Survivor Series. The match stipulation states that if Cena can help Barrett win the belt, he will be relieved from his duties as a member of Nexus.

To update how long John Cena will be a part of Nexus, a commercial that aired during Monday’s WWE RAW announced Randy Orton & Mark Henry are scheduled to face Sheamus & Wade Barrett in a tag team match at the Raw World Tour house show to be held in Biloxi, Mississippi on December 12. The ad stated John Cena would be in the corner of Sheamus and Barrett during the match.

While these TV ads are always subject to change, it’s worth noting that WWE is advertising Cena as a member of Nexus as far off as December.

World Wrestling Entertainment’s symbolic Nexus T-shirt has been a huge flop in terms of sales.According to a company source, Vince McMahon was ‘mortified’ when he was shown the latest merchandising report on Nexus shirts.

The latest twist in the Nexus storyline is that the title match ban for the group’s members has been lifted, as announced by RAW’s General Manager last night. Wade Barrett will compete for the WWE Title in Night of Champions’ Six Pack Challenge. Members of Nexus have actually been getting WWE Tag Team Title shots against The Hart Dynasty at WWE live events over the past few weeks.

WWE is entertaining the idea of turning a top Superstar heel and have them be the person behind The Nexus angle. The main people being pitched for a heel turn are Triple H and John Cena, believe it or not.

Although Cena could definitely use a fresh role within WWE, especially since he hasn't played the role of a heel throughout his WWE career, the move most likely will not happen. Cena turning heel would be a risk to WWE because of his popularity with kids and his strong merchandise sales that WWE does not want to lose out on. Triple H, on the other hand, has wanted to turn heel for a few years now, but with injuries to him and his co-workers, the opportunity to turn heel has never presented itself.
