Last Minute Notes Leading to Vengeance

Some last minute stuff as we get set for Vengenance within just a few hours:

* Reports say that Chris Benoit, who is to take on C.M. Punk for the ECW vacant title tonight, had to race home for a family emergency back to Atlanta. At last report, he is NOT in Houston for the PPV, but is expected to be there for the show. What happens if he is not there is anyones guess.

* There is word that Decue and Dominio will have a tag title match on the card from SmackDown, as all along they have advertisted a 9-match card in which ALL WWE titles will be on the line. The Major Brothers would be a solid team to go up against the champs, but there is word that the actual opponents will be none other than Sgt.Slaughter and Jimmy Snuka. Ugh.

* Also there is word that the Edge vs Batista match will be the main on the card which is very interesting. Every PPV since the brands have come together for PPV's have had Cena and the WWE title as the main. I have not exactly liked the Edge-Batista matches, but we'll see tonight.

* Steve Austin, Eric Bischoff, Jimmy Hart and Charles "Godfather" Wright are set for tommorow night's Vince McMahon's Memorial show on the PPV. Look for that show to be pushed big time tonight on RAW. I still think that the angle is going to be about 1-2 months, and I am going to stick with the original picks that it will be either Coach, Bishoff, Steph or Shane that set up the hit.

* Word is one wrestler that will get a push from moving brands is Viscera. The former Big Love Machine has been moved from RAW to ECW, and reports say that he will be repackaged with a whole new look and a push. One idea is to have him come off as the 1980’s One Man Gang character in World Class and UWF.
