WWE Sends Out Press Release on the 1-on-1 With Mayweather and Big Show
World Wrestling Entertainment issued the following press release this afternoon:
Floyd Mayweather Jr. Accepts One-on-One Match with Big Show(R)
ANAHEIM, Calif. - (Business Wire) On last night’s RAW®, Big Show provoked WBC Welterweight Champion Floyd Mayweather into accepting a future one-on-one match, only one night after their initial showdown at No Way Out®. What began as an apology by Big Show to the greatest fighter in the world turned into a second standoff when Big Show stopped the boxer in his tracks as he and his entourage were leaving the ringside area. After hearing Big Show’s antics from inside the ring, Mayweather stormed back into the ring to accept his challenge.
Last night’s standoff comes off the heels of Big Show’s surprise arrival at No Way Out. Mayweather, as Rey Mysterio®’s guest, showed why he is considered the greatest fighter in the world by landing a lightening fast combination of punches on the Big Show.
