My year end picks

It's time to give you guys another fun list of year end favorites. Lord knows you probably seen enough, but here are mine

Wrestler of the Year:
Batista

This guy has raised his stock big time since Mania. I never was really impressed overall with him. I viewed him as just another physical specimen who is only popular due to his muscles. That all changed the night of Mania. Batista has shown he can carry himself in the ring during big matches. Granted he still needs to work on his out of ring presence, but his matches with the Undertaker this year have been some of the best.

Card of the Year:
Wrestle Mania

This is a no brainier, how can you top the biggest event of the year. This years version was no exception as both title matches were fantastic. The Money in the Bank match was a series of huge moves after huge moves. Also plenty of guys saw their careers take off. Case in point, Batista, MVP, CM Punk and Mr Kennedy.

Tag Team of the Year:
London and Kendrick

They had a great run as WWE champs and provide no stop thrills with their high flying moves. It's sad the WWE has decided to bury tag teams as of late, so we are robbed of this great duo. But hey, we get to see Mark Henry and the Great Khali on pay per views.

Face of the Year:
Batista

The fans love this guy despite his mic presence being about as electric as a blow fuse. He really did a great job as champ despite the lack of Trude contenders this year due to injury on Smack Down.

Heel of the Year
Randy Orton

The legend Killer kept on killing legends all year. To bad it looks like he may be killing his own as champ now. I hope he turns things aground as I see a great future for him. I love his cocky attitude and the sheer arrogant presence he brings to the ring. What else do you need in a heel.

Match of the Year
Orton vs Triple H, No Mercy

Wat a great return for Triple H. He put it on the line big time in the brutal slug fest with Orton. They held nothing back in this Last Man Standing match which was amazing since it was Triple H's return from a blow quad.

Biggest Disappointment
Mr. Kennedy

He looked great coming out of Mania with winning the Money in the Bank match. But injury and disappointing matches have left many wondering if he has what it takes to be a major star. Will he be the next Jeff Hardy or Carlito. For his sake I hope the next Hardy.

Feud of the Year
Batista vs Undertaker

Like I said above, these guys since Mania have provided some memorable matches, starting with a last man standing match at Backlash, a steel cage match on Smack Down to the Hell in the Cell at Survivor Series.

Diva of the Year
Melina

She has done a great job of coming out of the shadow of Nitro and Mercury. She won gold twice this year and has shown she is more than a pretty face. There is no doubt she can handle herself in the ring and is one of the few Divas who can make a women's match entertaining for the wrestling, not the eye candy.

Newcomer of the Year
Jessie and Festus

Yes, I pluralised this one, but these guys are so much fun. You have to love the gentle giant to devastating monster that Festus brings at the sound of the bell. And Jesse just has that great goofy attitude that keeps things light and fun. These guys are another reason we need to see more of the tag teams. Biscuits and gravy anyone.

Biggest Surprise
Triple H's last of gold

Let's all admit this one. Yes I know he was injured most of the year, but you had to figure his title reign would have been measured in days not hours. Frankly I think this is great as it gives the other stars a chance to make names for themselves. Don't look for this to repeat in 2008 though.
