Hell In The Cell it is then
What a great way to start off Smack Down with Batista and the Undertacker meeting in the ring for a little verbal sparing. Granted Batista still needs plenty of work on his promos, but the end result was fantastic. We get a rematch at Survivor Series in the cell. This already adds to a great card that should feature some type of match with Otron, Umaga, HBK and Triple H. Or so the poster for Survivor Series leads us to believe. This match is perfect for Batista to continue his meteoric rise in stock after the last match at Cyber Sunday. That match has to be considered his best and one of the top 5 of this year in my opinion. We all know the Undertacker never disappoints in this type of match, so the weight of making this good falls to Batista. I know I have been a big critic of him in the past, but if her can step it up like he did at Cyber Sunday and work on his out of ring presence he can be one of the major players in the WWE. It will be interesting to see how he runs with this current level of success.
While were talking about both Batista and the Undertaker, it brings me to what the plans are for JBL. He ran in the ring at Smack Down and interfered in the aforementioned gentleman's match with Mark Henry and Khali allowing Henry and Khali to win. JBL has been very active lately with his hatred of Mysterio, Batista and the Undertaker. He also got into a little scrap with Mick Foley and Stone Cold at Cyber Sunday. I don't think he will come out of retirement but it looks like he may be in line for a one off type match or may become the resident jerk on Smack Down ala Vince on Raw.
Another area of interest is the new emphasis on the giant monsters in the WWE. This week we saw the Monster Bash Battle Royal with Kane, Mark Henry, Khali and Big Daddy V. Then on Friday we saw V attack Kane after his match and Khali and Henry teamed up against Batista and Undertaker as mentioned above. Are they trying to establish some kind of rivalry between this group. I would not mind seeing Kane and V go at it as both men are strong performers, but it also looks like they may be putting Kane with MVP, or at leas until Matt Hardy heals. As for Khali and Mark Henry the WWE should just cut their loses. Both men have failed to impress and they have been working for many years with Henry. It time to face the music that both of these men are just two big lumbering lummoxes who have no talent other than their large size.
