Masters and Smith Earn Suspensions for Drug Policy Violations
The WWE's new program of telling the public the names of those suspended that violate the drug policy quickly came to a head on Friday, as two stars were suspended and their names quickly spread like a raging fire on the internet. The two stars suspended were Chris Masters and new RAW superstar Harry Smith. It's the second time around for Masters, do he's gone for 60 days, while Smith, who just jumped to the main roster recently, will be gone for 30 days as this is his first violation of the policy.
While the wrestlers involved are likely not happy about it, this is the perfect way for this nonsense in the business to stop. Masters when he joined the main roster, was a beast. Then he shaped down after sometime, then bulked back up again. Now that he is suspended, maybe he will realize how dumb it is and try to change his ways before he's let go for good.
As for Smith, this is not exactly a good way to get off on the right foot with the company. The WWE is expecting big things from him, and for him to be on TV, and quickly gone for 30 days is not going to bode well. Smith was rumored to be on TV a longtime ago, but some felt he was not ready. Then he gets ready, gets on TV, and this happens. Despite it being the first time for Smith, he also needs to clean up before it's too late.
