Sting Still a Free Agent According to Wrestling Observer Radio

Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer stated during yesterday’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that there has been absolutely no contact between Steve “Sting” Borden and World Wrestling Entertainment officials.

Another source reports that WWE wanted Sting to work a full schedule, something that he would most likely not be interested in. Another source reports that Sting may have actually already re-signed with TNA but that’s not confirmed. The feeling in the TNA locker room last week was that Sting was headed to WWE but recent reports suggest otherwise.

One former WWE writer talks about the possibility of Sting joining WWE. He states that although WWE has done a good job developing some young stars this year that will be featured in big matches this year such as Wade Barrett, Alberto Del Rio, and The Miz, the one thing this year's WrestleMania lacks is a big-time "dream match." Based on the tone of his article, I would suspect that WWE has signed Sting and the reports that are coming out are just trying to swerve fans into thinking he hasn't been signed.
