Ross blogs a day before his WWE Deal is done
One day before his WWE contract expires, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has a new blog on jrsbarbq.com with the latest update on his WWE standing.
"I've had a couple of conversations with WWE officials this week about a potential new assignment within the company. Nothing has been finalized as of yet and my existing talent agreement will end Friday without fanfare," Ross said. "I will continue to handle some administrative matters until an agreement is or isn't reached."
In the meantime, Ross published a heavy amount of notes on how he would present TV wrestling in this era. It's an interesting look into what he would change or enhance if he were given the handle on a TV product.
Among the items Ross identified, with some application to TNA: finding the next batch of stars, scouting for talent, even-steven booking getting no one over, 2/3 falls matches, competently stretching out storylines over a five-week period, introducing new talent with video packages beforehand, "active performers who occupy significant TV time that are in a major decision making capacity inside a wrestling company," and more.
