Gregory Helms Posts About Bar Incident in North Carolina

Gregory Helms has posted a blog on his MySpace regarding an incident at a bar on Monday night. Helms was assaulted in a club in Johnston County, North Carolina, by an acquaintance, Dustin Narron. An argument between the two of them led to Narron hitting Helms in the face. Narron was later charged with assault and battery. Here is Helms' statement:

Just a quick note to let everyone know I'm fine. I hate when my name is attached to such retardedness (is that even a word) but sometimes, no matter how hard one tries, trouble can find it's way to you. Kinda like how bugs are drawn to a light. After breaking my neck and losing my mom in the same year, the last thing I need to happen is to be arrested for beating up some chumpstain in a bar fight. I've always been amazed when people try to fight pro wrestlers. I mean, I understand or at least I try to understand that having any kind of celebrity status, no matter how major or minor, puts a bull's-eye on your back, but what do these people think? Do they think that they are gonna get our contract if they somehow win the fight? Do they really think it's gonna prove anything? I remember one time watching some guy try to fight Meng and I was just shocked because there was no way in this world that this guy could beat Meng, yet there he was acting like a total tool! Why??? And then, take my altercation for example, this guy is pretty much known as a career-loser, so did he think that fighting me would somehow make his life better? And what would I have to gain by whooping his ass? Nothing! Which, is why I was trying my best to ignore this jackoff. At least until he decided to swing on me. Important note here, he only swung when he saw I was being held. We got a name for that where I come from, it starts with a "B" and rhymes with bitch! :) Hell, he's lucky Velvet Sky didn't get a hold of him, as mad as she was, I'd bet a year's salary that she woulda beat him down. :)

Anyway peeps, thanks for the support as always. And if you go out tonight or this weekend, beware of haters and losers, remember: They are more of them, than there are of us!

It's a sad day and for sure a sorry thing when a so called Superstar has to use the death of his mother to gain sympathy for an incident he created. What human being wouldn't defend himself when threatened by anyone especially a Pro Wrestler. This entire situation would've been chalked up to a typical bar fight had it not been for the fact that the Superstar's ego got a bruised. He felt he had to retaliate in a legal fashion and by making it public knowledge he was able to make himself the victim. You would think that an all time Cruiser Weight Champion could figure out a better way to get out of a headlock rather than biting fingers and pulling hair. And that wasn't even successful. And along with the other lies he's spreading Velvet Sky did attempt to attack Narron but was easily deflected. She then attempted to stop Helms and he grabbed her by the neck throwing her into the bar. What a man to be defending.
