Deadman Beaten

Edge's plan to weaken the Undertaker took another step tonight. Plotting with the love of his life Vickie, Edge found himself tonight in a handicap match with the Edge Heads, Ryder and Hawkins. Taker held his own until the Edge Heads has to rescue Edge from the grips of the Undertaker's new fierce submission move. Then the 3 way beat down began, leaving the Undertaker down and out. This keeps building the heat for their match at Mania and should give the fans something to remember. I like this pairing as Edge's ego meshes well with the Undertakers straight forward butt kicking style. The Undertaker has been adding new tricks to his bag or spicing up his old moves so you know he is ready for the big show. And Edge has proven himself in the past by holding his own against on of the kings of hardcore, in Mick Foley. I know the Cena, Orton and Triple H match or the Flair/Michael's match may be the most talked about, but I'm looking for Taker/Edge to be the highlight of Mania.

It should be interesting to see the cage match next week featuring the aforementioned faction of Edge against Flair next week. This started when Edge ran his mouth off about Flair's career coming to an end during the Cutting Edge segment, and Flair responded with a mitt to the face of Edge. And in their evil plotting Edge and Vickie found a way to try and fix Flair's wagon as he will face Edge and the Edge Heads next week. Can't really see them making Flair look bad in this match so they can build up to mania. I just wonder if Batista or even HBK will run in to rescue him.

Onto the big highlight for this sight. Yet again the Lets Wrestle crews gets props for their signs. It started last year at Mania with my Fuji Vice 4 Life sign, as it made both Don Morocco and Mr. Fuji laugh. Well the man behind this sight takes the cake. If you watched tonight and saw when Michelle McCool enters and blows a kiss. Well that was for none other than Matt Loede. And later he got the real thing folks. So if you are a loyal reader and are voting for the swimsuit contest, please throw some love to the lady who loves the Lord of Lets Wrestle, Michell McCool.

Onto the big disappointment of the night. Batista and MVP looked lethargic tonight and this was sad to see. Their past matches have featured some intensity and I was looking forward to this program to carry on after Mania. If this is how it will look after a couple matches, then please put it back on the shelf and get Matt Hardy back with MVP. We know that's coming soon, but it needs to hurry up as Batista and MVP may not have much more to give. We'll see a rematch next week due to the DQ of tonight, but I'm not sure this will go the distance. If the rumors are true of MVP and Hardy at Mania we need to see that get rekindled fairly soon. I feel it may come into play next week during the match.

Also tonight we would see the Big Show continue his trail of terror as he put the beat down on poor Jamie Noble. This angle is to show the fierce side of the Show as he is set on destroying Floyd Mayweather. I like this mean streak in the Show. He is in great shape, can finally hold his own in the ring and I feel he has the making of a great heel. Kane again was called upon to make one of the stiffs of the WWE look good as he would defeat Chuck Palumbo. Enough said on this as I grow tired of seeing Palumbo each week. And of course in the how can we waste decent talent match, we saw Miz, Morrison, and Chavo go against Jesse, Festus and CM Punk. Again a great way to not defend the tag titles. And really did these match-ups need to be made? Why not rematch the parties who have history with each other. Don't we want to see Chavo and Punk for the 3435th time. Well maybe we don't, but find a way to utilize these guys better to showcase their talents.
